The BUILT values
Leadership
Kimberlee provides executive construction leadership informed by more than two decades in the industry. As Metrocore's qualifying contractor, she brings licensed general-contracting oversight, project judgment and a client-centered perspective to commercial and residential work. Florida Certified General Contractor — CGC #1539428.
In addition to more than 22 years of construction-industry experience, Kimberlee brings the perspective of a fitness-business owner and operator, giving Metrocore firsthand insight into how construction decisions affect operations, members, schedules and long-term business performance.
Derek leads operations, preconstruction, estimating, project coordination and business systems. His 20-year U.S. Army career included Infantry and Special Forces service, Special Forces engineer and instructor responsibilities, and research-and-development project management. That background informs Metrocore's standards for preparation, accountability, team leadership, adaptability and mission-focused execution.
Following his military career, Derek built a second career in civilian construction and real estate, managing healthcare, luxury residential and short-term rental projects across multiple states, and leading a classified research-and-development initiative for the Department of Defense. He also owns and operates King Group Investments, a real estate investment and brokerage business, giving Metrocore added insight into ownership, development and investment-side decision-making alongside its construction expertise.
